Peg Bundy's Got Nothing On Me...

I got my shoes last night! I love 'em!! I love 'em so much I'm too lazy to take a picture of 'em on my feet. But rest assured they are sitting on my little toes right now and they go smashingly well with my green pinstripe PJ bottoms and worn out t-shirt.

I have to say, I was worried that I would be buying plastic painted to look like wood, but they are in fact real wood and other then the color scheme, almost identical to the extremely expensive version. They have a smooth bottom which means I can slowly whirl across the dance floor in them too, should to mood strike, and they will go with most of my current tropical wear, sans the black dress I'm working on right now. Although I think I need a Pake Mu Mu to wear with them, and I think I've got the right fabric for it.

So... I was reading another blog the other night, that came as reference off the great ADressADay site, and it lead me over to FOREVER 21.

I always forget the place exists. There was one in the mall outside of Dying New England Capital a few years ago. I loved it. I got all sorts of knock off stuff there that I could wear all of twice before it either died in the wash or I came to my senses and decided I had no business in it.

There is also one in Deco Dirt City, though I have yet to actually go to it, because it's in the mall on the other side of the world. And there's one here in Ultra Hipster City. That I haven't been to because it's in the mall as well and I avoid the place like the plague.
None the less, they have a great website and it's drool worthy.

$6.80... It's not cup sized, and if I never planned to do anything more then sit in front of the computer. I could probably get away with a medium.

$8.80. Yes, you read that right... Isn't it cute? Don't you want it? I love it! Love it!! And if I were a B cup, I could have it. Alas, I'm not. Not even close. BLAST!! Why can't cheap retailers make D cups? Do you know how fast they'd sell!! Come on, please? Please? Please!!
$6.?? I think.. Retrolite? Don't mind if I do!! They have it in ivory and in blue. I want the ivory but for some reason took a picture of the red. Do you know how much these things go for normally? And how hard they are to find in reproductions that look good..
NARF!! I'm dyin' over here.

And of course, who can resist a $19 wiggle dress? Yes, I could make it. But that's not the point. The point is, I could have Peg Bundy Leopard print wiggly goodness to match the Peg Bundy shoes. NARFF!!

Okay, I'm fine. It's not like any of this is really expensive. It's mostly that I don't have the disposable income right now. Or a place to wear any of it.

You, see we may live in Big Hipster City, but it's hard for us to find things to do. Mostly because it's Hipster-ville and we're OLD and we don't follow all the latest trends that all the kids are following these days.
Don't get me wrong, there's a little piece of my that loves Flock of Seagulls, but I don't feel any urge to dress like the band. And I've got no interest in hanging out in clubs with people almost 10 years younger then me who do. And listening to bad impressions of Flock of Seagulls.

I would like to go dancing again. I need to take Best Boy for lessons and then we'll hit the dance floor. Provided we can find music to dance to. It's not Hip and Trendy right now, so it's harder to find.
Narf.....

Nevertheless, that dress needs to belong to you. I have never seen a dress more you in all my days.

And you think YOU'RE old? Try being almost 40 and going to a bar like I did Friday night. I almost expected to be photographed like a tourist attraction.
